Smart help before booking

PC Tech Guru Assistant

This AI assistant can help point you towards the right service, likely next step and any important safety advice. AI can make mistakes, so please treat the guidance as a starting point only. A final diagnosis can only be confirmed after the device has been checked.

0/15 chats used
You can ask a follow-up. For example, ask “What SSD should I buy?” then type your laptop model next.
This is an AI helper and may occasionally make mistakes. It gives general guidance only and cannot guarantee the exact fault, repair cost, part compatibility, availability, data recovery, website ranking or final result.
Website Creation Questions
Yes. PC Tech Guru builds fast, mobile-friendly websites for local businesses, trades, creators, events and online services. Websites are built with Astro and Cloudflare Pages, with options for contact forms, booking links, payment links, local SEO structure, analytics and lead tracking. You can view the full packages on the Website Creation page.
Website packages start from £299 for the Local Business package. Business Plus websites start from £499, and Commerce websites start from £699 depending on what is needed. Any third-party costs, such as domain names, paid email inboxes, booking tools, payment provider fees, subscriptions, paid images or external services, are agreed separately.
No. You can pay a one-off price for the website build. Monthly website care is optional and starts from £29/month with Business Care, or £49/month with Growth Care if you want more regular updates, checks and website support after launch.
Monthly website care can include agreed minor text changes, image swaps, contact form checks, analytics checks, tracking checks, speed checks and general website support depending on the selected plan. It does not include unlimited edits, full redesigns, paid advertising, third-party subscriptions or guaranteed Google rankings.
No honest website builder can guarantee a specific Google ranking. I can set up the website properly with good structure, page titles, descriptions, sitemap, speed-focused build methods and local service wording, but rankings depend on competition, content, reviews, search changes and ongoing activity.
Once the website build has been paid for in full, you own the final website content and custom code created specifically for your project, subject to any third-party licences or service terms. You do not own third-party platforms, fonts, stock images, booking tools, payment providers, analytics tools or subscriptions used as part of the website.
Not unless agreed in the package or quote. Domain names, paid email inboxes, booking tools, payment provider fees, premium plugins, paid images, subscriptions and advertising costs are normally separate third-party costs. I can help guide or set them up, but the external provider may charge their own fees.
Bookings and Visits
PC Tech Guru normally provides support at your location. That means your PC, laptop, WiFi or setup issue can be checked in the environment where the problem actually happens. If you prefer, your device may also be taken away for repair where suitable.
Standard service prices start from £50. Payment is made when requested or agreed, and any extra costs such as parts, software or additional work will be explained before going ahead.
PC Tech Guru provides local support across Runcorn, Widnes, Halton and surrounding Cheshire areas. If you are nearby but unsure whether your area is covered, send a message before booking.
Some issues can be resolved during the appointment, while others may need extra time, parts or further investigation. A slow laptop cleanup might be straightforward, but hardware faults, Windows issues or upgrades can take longer.
Repairs, Upgrades and WiFi
It depends on the age, condition and specification of the machine. Many slow PCs can be improved with an SSD upgrade, memory upgrade, cleanup or software repair. If the device is not worth spending money on, you will be told honestly.
Yes. WiFi problems can be caused by weak signal, router placement, thick walls, interference, poor equipment or incorrect setup. I can help diagnose the cause and recommend practical improvements such as better placement, mesh WiFi, extenders or settings changes.
Yes, I can help with suspicious pop-ups, browser hijacks, unwanted programs, malware concerns and general security checks. I can also advise on safer browsing, passwords and basic protection to reduce future problems.
I do not provide specialist internal data recovery from failed drives, damaged USB sticks or physically faulty storage devices. I may be able to help with basic file transfer, backup setup or accessible data migration, but serious data recovery should be handled by a specialist recovery company.
Payments, Parts and Practical Help
If parts are needed, I will explain what is required before you spend anything. Parts are normally paid for by the customer, and I can advise on suitable options. Labour for installation, diagnosis and setup is charged separately from the cost of parts.
Absolutely. You do not need to know the technical terms. Just describe what is happening in normal language, such as “it is slow”, “the WiFi keeps dropping”, “it will not turn on”, or “I keep getting pop-ups”. I will take it from there.
Services Not Provided and Other Questions
I do not provide internal Apple hardware repairs such as broken screens, charger ports or internal board repairs. If your issue is general setup, WiFi, email, accounts or advice, it may still be worth asking first.
Services not provided include internal printer repairs, internal mobile or tablet repairs, micro-soldering motherboard components, TV or monitor repairs, USB storage drive repairs, specialist data recovery and internal Apple product repairs such as broken screens or charger ports.
The quickest option is usually WhatsApp or the booking page. You can also email enquiries@pctechguru.co.uk.

Still not sure?

Send a quick message explaining the issue and I will let you know whether it sounds like something I can help with.
